Pass It Down allows you to add a date to every story, if you choose. Here's how.
Step 1: In your story, scroll down until you see a sliding tab with the question, "Add Date" beside it. Slide the tab to the right.
Step 2: A new line will appear below saying "Start Date:" with a line for the year beside it. Enter the year.
Adding the year will open up the "month" line, and adding the month will open the "day" line. Adding the year will also reveal the line for entering the "End Date," if your story has one. It behaves the same way as the "Start Date". As these lines open, fill in your dates. You do not have to fill in all of these fields; only the Start Date year is required.
To the right of all the date fields, there are up and down keys. Clicking on those will increase or decrease the date value. You can use this to add a date to one of the lines or to edit your date information.
Step 3: To save your date and any other information you have included in the story, click the "Save Story" button in the bottom right-hand corner of the page.
Your story now has a date!
