To deliver the best experience to your visitors with your exhibits, there is a minimum number of stories per template that we recommend. Too few stories will not provide enough content for an engaging and satisfying experience while also leaving empty white space on the page. This detracts from the visual appearance of your exhibit and causes your visitors to wonder where the rest of the content is. Below are the recommended minimum number of stories per template to avoid running into these issues.

Squares:

  • 8 stories minimum if your visitor's main viewport is a smartphone or something correspondingly small

  • 15 stories if the viewport is a computer or other mid-sized screen

  • 25 stories if the viewport is a large touchscreen or other similarly-sized screen

Timeline:

  • 5 stories minimum, preferably from 5 different years

David:

  • We recommend a minimum of 2 stories per collection and sub-collection. Don't forget that stories can be in multiple collections, helping you fill out your collections and sub-collections!

Full-Page Map and Map Exhibit:

  • 5 stories or more. For the best effect, we also recommend that the locations attached to the stories they are fairly spread according to whatever map zoom you choose.
